Located on five acres southwest of Goddard, Kansas, KTC’s Interdependent Living Program,Timber Creek, provides a more "normalized" living environment contrary to most traditional, institutionalized settings. Clients are able to continue their schooling though the local school district, earn credits towards graduation or GED, enter into college course work or vocational training during their treatment stay.  Continuing education is not just encouraged, it's required.  KTC's mission is to help youth make a life...not just a living.

Welcome:
Providing a Longer Term Alternative…

The Interdependent Living Program offers long-term residential services  with qualified individuals continuing in the program for well over one year. This time allows for the client to develop the necessary coping and living skills to return to a social climate that may not be supportive of the positive changes made, or, develop the education or occupational skills necessary to live successfully on their own.

Effective Family Involvement…

For families, this time is essential for the home to adequately heal and begin to make the healthy changes necessary for the youth to return.  The Interdependent Living Program case manager works with families to obtain needed services, facilitate family therapy, and prepare for the successful return of their child.  Families are encouraged to be an integral part of the client’s treatment.
